Ewald is manager energy transitions at Shell Nederland. He joined Shell in 1983 in market research and communications and held different positions in marketing & sales and strategy & scenarios. During his position in the strategy and policy department of the Shell Pensionfund, he obtained his PhD. in economics at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. In his current role Ewald connects Shell to the external world with innovations such as gas-to-liquids (GTL Fuel), LNG and Shell Mobility Card and represents Shell in many external projects like the Dutch Energy Agreement.
